Refer-a-friend Program

Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: February 27th, 2025

Welcome to Revive’s Refer-a-Friend Program (the “Program”). We believe in empowering homeowners, agents, and communities to make smarter real estate decisions—and we’re delighted you’ve joined us to share that mission. These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) explain how the Program works and outline the responsibilities and benefits of participating. By taking part in the Program, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms as well as all applicable laws and regulations.

Program Overview

The Revive Refer-a-Friend Program is designed to spread the word about the value of making confident real estate decisions. As a participant (“Referrer”), you can refer friends, family, colleagues, or real estate professionals (“Referred Parties”) who might benefit from Revive’s Renovate to Stay program. When a Referred Party begins or completes their qualified project (as determined by Revive), you’ll receive a monetary reward as our way of saying thanks for helping others unlock their home’s potential.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to participate. Employees, contractors, or affiliates of Revive (including their immediate families) cannot take part. Referred Parties must be new to Revive’s services at the time of the referral to ensure we’re reaching homeowners or agents who have not previously used Revive’s offerings. You need an active Revive account to generate and share your referral link. If you are a licensed real estate agent, you acknowledge that your participation in this Program does not violate any real estate regulations, brokerage agreements, or professional codes of conduct. You are solely responsible for confirming and maintaining compliance with your brokerage’s policies regarding referral payments or other outside compensation.

How the Program Works

Sign up or log in to your Revive account to access your unique referral link. Send this link to potential homeowners or agents via email, text, or social media—respecting applicable anti-spam and privacy laws. A referral is “qualified” once the Referred Party either signs an agreement to start a Renovate to Stay project, or otherwise meets the necessary criteria set by Revive. Revive validates and confirms all qualified referrals before issuing any rewards. Referrals must represent genuine interest in our Renovate to Stay program. Unsolicited or spammy messaging, fraudulent activity, or deceptive behavior is strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification (see Restrictions below). If a Referred Party cancels or significantly reduces the scope of their Renovate to Stay project before a minimum threshold set by Revive, the referral may be deemed invalid, and no reward will be issued.

Rewards

For each qualified referral, Referrers are eligible for a $1,000 reward, paid out quarterly. This amount reflects our appreciation for helping us reach more homeowners with the opportunity to renovate confidently. A limit of $3,000 per quarter applies (3 referrals per quarter), unless explicitly authorized by Revive. If you anticipate surpassing this limit, please contact us at support@revive.realestate to discuss potential exceptions. A reward is triggered once Revive verifies that the Referred Party has initiated a qualifying Renovate to Stay project (and/or has met any minimum project progress requirement established by Revive). Exact timing for validation may vary. Rewards are distributed on a quarterly basis. You will typically receive your reward in the first full quarter after the Referred Party’s project is confirmed qualified. Payments are issued via PayPal (or any other method communicated by Revive) and are subject to Revive’s verification.

Restrictions

You cannot refer yourself, create fake accounts, or otherwise misrepresent actual interest in Revive’s services. All referral activities must comply with relevant laws and regulations, including anti-spam and privacy laws. If you are a licensed real estate agent or broker, you are solely responsible for ensuring any referral rewards comply with your broker’s policies, state licensing laws, and regulations (including RESPA, if applicable). Any fraudulent, manipulative, or deceptive actions—such as creating multiple or fake accounts, spamming, or providing false information—will result in immediate termination from the Program, and any pending rewards will be withheld.

Taxes

Participants are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on rewards earned. If you earn $600 or more in a calendar year, Revive may issue a 1099 form as required by U.S. tax law. You agree to provide accurate tax information if requested.

Disclaimer of Liability

While Revive strives to help every homeowner achieve a meaningful result, we cannot guarantee specific project outcomes or the continued availability of this Program. Revive is not liable for any technical errors, interruptions, or delays that may occur when tracking referrals or issuing payments. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Revive and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the Program. Except as specifically outlined here, these Program Terms incorporate by reference the disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification provisions in Revive’s main Terms of Use. In the event of a conflict between those Terms of Use and these Program Terms, these Program Terms will govern with respect to the Refer-a-Friend Program.

Termination and Modifications

Revive reserves the right to update, suspend, or end the Program at any time without notice. Any changes to these Terms will take effect once posted on Revive’s website or otherwise communicated to Program participants. Continuing in the Program after such updates means you accept the revised Terms. Revive may suspend or terminate your participation in the Program if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activity, or otherwise cause harm to Revive or third parties. In cases of suspected fraud, Revive may withhold any pending rewards during an investigation, and reserves the right to disqualify participants at its sole discretion.

Privacy

By participating, you consent to Revive’s handling of your personal data in accordance with our Pivacy Policy. We use this information solely to administer the Program and will not share it without your consent, except as required by law. We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy for more details.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising under or related to the Program will be resolved via binding arbitration according to the rules of the American Arbitration Association in California. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding on all parties. You agree to pursue any dispute on an individual basis and waive your right to participate in any class or collective actions. By entering into these Terms, you and Revive expressly waive any right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

Miscellaneous

If any section of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Revive may request further documentation to confirm compliance with these Terms. These Terms represent the entire agreement regarding the Refer-a-Friend Program, superseding any prior understanding or arrangement. For questions about state-specific or professional rules (especially if you are a licensed real estate agent), please consult your own legal and tax advisors.
